La Nina: Predicting less precipitation

Recent predictions from the Wester Water Assessment (WWA) say that we might get higher temperatures and lower snowfalls this season:

Expected La NiƱa impacts during October-December 2007 season are above average precipitation in the Pacific Northwest (including western Wyoming) and below average precipitation in the Southwest, including parts of Colorado. There is an increased chance of above average temperatures over all of the Intermountain West (Intermountain West Climate Summary).

Not cool… literally.

2007 Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo

The 2007 Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo kicks off this weekend:

Where do you go to get last minute deals on skis and boards? The Expo. Where do you get early season prices on passes and Lift-tickets? The Expo. Where do you get to meet former Bronco greats and world-class ski and snowboard athletes for free? The Expo.

I’ve never been but if I may go check it out tomorrow…
