Vail Resorts came out with a press release yesterday about their new 'Epic Pass'. It is an unrestricted (no blackout dates), and unlimited (go as many times as you want) to Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breck and Heavenly for $579 for adults and $279 for kids. It is available until November 15th.
This is probably going to be the best ski deal of the year. Check it out:

I just called and pricing up until 3/9 is
$75 for Vail/Beaver Creek
$59 for Keystone/Breck
$49 for A-Basin

3/9 to 3/22 is a higher (i.e. more expensive) tier is what the lady said. I didn't ask for those prices.

Great points. My first experience with Montezuma was so-so (it never got above negative 5 that day) but I think you're right: challenging yourself is what will keep you away from the crowds.

Let's just hope this snow keeps consistently falling.

My take on the ticket prices:

If you can splurge, do it and hit Vail. If you are conserving, hit up A-Basin. The new Montezuma Bowl is just so much fun. I've been exploring back there and what I've really enjoyed is all the open space. Also, I've found that the front side is better than ever. There is just so much terrain and when the East Wall opens...forget it. The lot will be packed, actually the overflow lot will be packed and it will still feel like you have the mountain to yourself.

For those who say the lift lines are still too long...all I have to say is start challenging yourself more. Read the crowds. Ski away from them. Don't worry about the terrain, you'll get down. The more you challenge yourself, the better you will ski or ride.

This is my blog of the day posted in your comments section. Thanks again for your support.
